An international specialty retailer (9,000+ locations and ecommerce) needed to modernize their data science tech stack and implement more nimble, impactful processes in order to translate their voluminous data into strategic guidance and tactical executions.
The organization, its culture and tech capabilities required a systematic, step by step transformation. It could not be done all at once given legacy systems/contracts, required training, and budgets.
We guided (and in some cases built) capabilities that directly impacted the success of the marketing organization. This consisted of analytical roadmaps (timelines, dependencies, budgets) as well as technical training, prototypes, “starter models,” and working code.
Progress was evident in tangible and intangible ways. First, we increased the efficiency of data pipelines, ML development and deployment, and marketing operations by up to 50 percent (time taken to produce superior output). Furthermore, we provided quick wins and business cases to increase executive buy-in and organizational momentum. We set the vision, tone and detailed roadmap for ongoing acceleration of their analytical maturity.
