Brunner’s Associate Director of PR Meredith Klein Serves as Keynote For VisitPITTSBURGH Education Series
Presentation focused on the intersectionality of marketing communications
Pittsburgh, PA (October 19, 2018) – As consumers’ needs change, and the marketing communications landscape becomes more sophisticated, successful PR professionals must be equipped with a diverse toolbelt. That’s why, in partnership with VisitPITTSBURGH, Brunner’s associate director of PR Meredith Klein led a keynote presentation on Thursday, October 18 at the Digital + PR Education Series.
Klein’s presentation focused on PR’s ability to amplify and extend the lifespan of all other marketing materials. Keeping in mind how local businesses can apply insights and communications strategy to advance their business, Klein shared immediate opportunities and long-term recommendations to elevate local organizations.
“As companies demand more and more of their communications efforts, PR practitioners have to adjust their approach and evolve to meet the demands of the market,” said Klein. “PR isn’t a channel strategy, it’s a brand strategy. With the ability to heighten other components of your marketing strategy, while simultaneously increasing awareness, PR is the tool you need to grow your business.”
Attendees hailed from various industries, eager to gain a better understanding of how to successfully engage public relations for their organizations. As part of VisitPITTSBURGH’s ongoing Education Series, Klein was joined by a host of professionals, on several panels, as they discussed an array of topics including digital and social media, content and how these elements work together.
