Brunner Donates to Local Foundation, Glimmer of Hope, As Breast Cancer Awareness Month Concludes
Agency hosted events throughout October to bring visibility to the cause

Pittsburgh (November 18, 2019) – Brunner believes in creating powerful ideas for business and life. Whether it’s through volunteerism, employees’ passion projects or creating campaigns for non-profits, the agency cultivates an environment where giving back is as important as giving your all to clients. And in October of this year, that meant supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Led by VP, Director of Human Resources Melissa Richards, Brunner hosted a Pink Out Day celebrating survivors on Tuesday, October 15 and a Battle of the Bras – a competition where agency associates brought their creativity to life. With several weeks to design and create their bras, Brunner teams leveraged their individuality to customize the crafts. All of this culminated in a fashion show on Friday, October 25 at Brunner’s weekly happy hour during which attendees viewed and voted on the creations. Some of the bra themes? A virtual reality app to view the BHiveLab’s design, Brand Engagement channeled its inner Angel, Digital Experience programmed a cure, Agency Services designed A Glimmer of Hope, and Creative focused on what’s inside rather than on the exterior.

“Breast cancer awareness is a something near to my heart,” Richards said. “Engaging our larger organization around this cause was important to me personally and something we could rally around. I’m proud of our Brunner B’s and their involvement. It’s a great feeling to be able to give back.”

The $250 fundraised by employees during Battle of the Bras was matched by Brunner for a total of $500 donated to Pittsburgh-based Glimmer of Hope. Shared with founder and CEO Diana Napper during a check presentation on Wednesday, November 13 at Brunner, Napper was also able to meet some of the folks that helped to lead the charge.

“We’re grateful for this donation from Brunner,” said Napper. “With their support we’ll be able to continue our mission and make a difference for young women in the Pittsburgh community.”
