Brunner Named Agency of Record for the PA Lottery
Pittsburgh (March 23, 2012) - Independent, full-service advertising agency, Brunner, today announced it has been named agency of record for the Pennsylvania Lottery. The agency won the account following an open and competitive procurement process that began last September. The five-year contract, worth $185 million ($37 million annually), became effective on March 19, 2012.
Brunner will be responsible for all facets of the PA Lottery's advertising and related services. This includes brand insight and strategy, research and planning, creative, media planning and buying, digital, public relations, social media, and mobile marketing for the brand.
"We are very proud to have the opportunity to represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania," said Michael Brunner, CEO of Brunner. "We look forward to growing and promoting the PA Lottery and the many ways its proceeds benefit older Pennsylvanians."
The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since its inception in 1971, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed nearly $21.5 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free transit and reduced-fare shared rides; the low-cost prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term living services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state. The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds its players to play responsibly. Players must be 18 or older.
