Senior Digital Art Director
Job Description
The Senior Digital Art Director at Brunner is a leader in the
creation of interactive work for our clients. When working hands-on
and while providing oversight to creative teams, this role must be
able to both create excellence and inspire excellence in others.
With the creative thinking to bring game-changing ideas to life,
the strategic vision to truly help solve business problems, and an
understanding of digital technology that leads to true innovation,
the Senior Digital Art Director will play an integral part in
shaping the digital work developed at Brunner.
As a Digital Art Director, you:
• Effectively guide teams of art directors, writers, and UX
designers.
• Work closely with account management and strategy to
formulate smart approaches to client needs, always advocating for
great creative solutions.
• Act as a trusted partner for clients, forming and
strengthening relationships as you work with the team to solve
their business needs.
• Work closely with other creative and technology team
members to develop great ideas, smart execution approaches and
innovative uses of technology.
• Conceive digital ideas and design interfaces that people
will want to use and other designers will want to copy.
• Have an eye of detail and understand how the little things
matter to make a big impact. And can help guide other to develop
these details.
• Are a master of PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator and other
design tools (After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, for
example).
• Understand, and are able to explain, the capabilities and
limitations of modern web development technologies and techniques -
like HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and Responsive Design, to name a few. But
don't worry; we don't expect you to write code.
• Have a strong understanding of UX design, can work from
wireframes, site maps and flow documents and can even create those
documents from time to time.
• Are intimately familiar with the landscape of the modern
web and know how people use it - on the desktop, in mobile and
through social media.
• Are active on the web in places like Facebook, Twitter,
blogs, photo sharing sites, online communities, etc.
• Have the confidence to make good decisions and then to sell
ideas to both the team and to the client.
• Can work well independently as well as in cross-functional
teams, and you are compatible with a lot of different personality
types.
• Take responsibility for the work of the team and show pride
in everything that you do.
And of course, to be considered you must have a great online
portfolio of previous work.
